FOR TEACHERS

Our network covers the greater Tokyo/Saitama/Kanagwa/Chiba metropolitan areas and suburbs. Teach at home or in a cafe of your choice. Our students are screened prior to introduction, so no need to waste your time on students without serious intetions. Teachers with free teaching hours to spare should file out the online profile sheet (click here).
The number of students you will recieve is solely based on the demand for lessons in your area. Instructors who have available hours during the weekday evenings and weekends will increase their chances for a "first meeting".
To qualify you must possess a university degree and proper visa. Below you will find a summary of how our system works. After reading it, please submit your resume to the link above. If you have any questions feel free to contact us at teachers@prismeikaiwa.com.
Thank You.

Lesson Fee

For 60 minute lessons, ¥3000 is paid by the student after each lesson in cash. In the case of 90 minutes, ¥4500. Students can not be charge in excess of this amount.

Number of student per class Lesson Fee(60min) Lesson Fee(90min)
1 \3,000 per student \4,500 per student
2 \2,000 per student \3,000 per student
3 \1,500 per student \2,500 per student

Demonstration Lesson

At the first meeting the instructor will give the student a 30 minute free demonstration lesson. This should be a shorten version of the instructors lesson format. During the demo the students level should be assessed. After the student and instructor agree on a start date for lessons, our head office should be contacted to complete the students' admission process.

Lesson structure

STEP1

Review homework assignment/Questions and Answers:
Here the student will go over the homework assignment. The student will be required to complete a weekly homework assignment based on the previous lesson.

STEP2

Warm-up: The student is introduced to the lesson’s objective. (For example: Making flight arrangements, answering phone calls, debating an issue). The instructor will use vocabulary and listing exercises to prepare the student for the communicative portion of the lesson.

STEP3

Listening- The teacher will provide the most important model on which the student will base their own listening skills. During this portion, the student will be exposed to natural English rhythm and speed. The teacher will help the student to improve their listening skills by using various reading and audio materials. These exercises will require the student to listen for specific information or general meaning

STEP4

Practice- here the student will develop their accuracy and pronunciation skills through a variety of exercises. Student will be challenged to create meaningful sentences based on the lessons objective, as the instructor monitors for accuracy, pronunciation, and rhythm.

STEP5

Production- Communicative language teaching makes use of real-life situations that necessitate communication. The teacher sets up a situation that students are likely to encounter in real life. The real-life situations change from lesson to lesson. Students' motivation to learn comes from their desire to communicate in meaningful ways about meaningful topics. Here the student will get the chance to practice what they have learned in a real world situation.
